GJBA Scholarship Awards and Cookout
Our meeting will be at Jackson Park from 5:00- 7:00 PM.
Our agenda: A short meeting followed by Scholarship Recipient presentations.
It’s a beer garden kickoff meeting. Food will be served to attendees, and sold to non-attendees who just want dinner. Soda and water will be provided. Beer will be available for purchase. After all is done, we will turn on some music.

Breakfast starts at 7:30 am along with networking. Our speakers currently on deck to speak for 20-30 mins each:

Laura will give us an update on benefits, what to keep in mind for a small business when selecting a plan, and how to combat renewal costs.
Brad Otto – Owner / Technology Consultant – P3C Technologies LLC
Brad will give a short talk on Cybersecurity (latest scams and how to catch them) or a Marketing Roundtable (Marketing Strategies for the SMB) – GJBA members get to pick the topic. If you have a preference – please let Brad know by dropping him an email at brad.otto@p3ctech.com

We will also be holding elections for our board of directors.

Grill out with the Greater Jackson Business Alliance High School Senior Scholarship recipients
The students will give short speeches about their future plans and we are tentatively planning on having a career panel set of speakers.

Our Speaker:
Rob Melick is a native of Hubertus, Wisconsin. He graduated from the University School of Milwaukee and received his B.A. in Economics with Honors from Swarthmore College, where he was a member of the College’s football and track teams. He received his J.D. from Penn State University. Rob’s focus is on estate planning and elder law. Rob is a frequent speaker on the topics of estate planning for the elderly and estate planning for the young family. He teaches several classes on estate planning and asset protection at Moraine Park Technical College. Rob has significant experience in helping preserve the assets of individuals and families faced with admission to a nursing home and those who want to avoid the probate process.
Rob offers free initial meetings with clients. During that no obligation, no pressure meeting, Rob will discuss various estate planning options. He will also review existing estate planning documents at no charge to determine whether and to what extent they may need to be updated. All estate planning work is completed on a flat fee basis, meaning that there are no hidden costs and clients can communicate with Rob in an unlimited manner without worrying about cost.
